They're not normally colours that I play with, but these were fun! The "art" doll head is a stamp that I've had for a long time, and not used nearly enough - and the other one is from a set that I bought a while ago to make girls cards - isn't she cute????<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiROkgqF66mXGzF9ZvlApZfV3nGFarV-LvLjXUnKum3Gz88pfcrGTFwCLJmVWrALVmDhPjfguGnifQ8TAn8De1qj9uxAG9A1mIm8VG8hFqTd5VktiI-ymzDg57-LxHjPZRTEExi5KEIoIZH/s1600/P1020137.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 184px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiROkgqF66mXGzF9ZvlApZfV3nGFarV-LvLjXUnKum3Gz88pfcrGTFwCLJmVWrALVmDhPjfguGnifQ8TAn8De1qj9uxAG9A1mIm8VG8hFqTd5VktiI-ymzDg57-LxHjPZRTEExi5KEIoIZH/s320/P1020137.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591245085646099874" border="0" /></a>The ART doll theme was a "Goddess" doll, using my template. I'm NOT a big fan of either Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise - but they were both wonderful in this movie! This is definitely my most fav movie of all time, and I've watched it too many times to count. She found the template here: <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/templates-f143/atc-calendar-t514417.html"><span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);font-size:130%;" >SplitCoast Stampers</span></a>. I immediately downloaded the template, and have made ALL my ATCs - once I started I couldn't stop. In fact, I made TWO sets - one for myself! lol<br /><br />They've all got stamping on them - one of my "resolutions" for this year is to use my stamps more - and I've made a good start.<br /><br />What a great idea for a swap, thank you Donna! And I can't wait to do one for 2012 ... :-)purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291368514590015870.post-84997292528858690462010-12-22T00:57:00.000-08:002010-12-22T01:09:11.420-08:00Cards made this week<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTYUXrfI39MpNcnAGT9mUgUy6UOvfwSG-1i7_DvBXhAMB7g9s38ND2yLDpqb82SWBP1YqbEiOT4ueOWu9xLztbvVxkQU1IYJ8Suwt7fKPD80JLltFr2GtXCsya7UXfHXeknHclZMaUks1s/s1600/Black+%2526+white+card.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 233px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTYUXrfI39MpNcnAGT9mUgUy6UOvfwSG-1i7_DvBXhAMB7g9s38ND2yLDpqb82SWBP1YqbEiOT4ueOWu9xLztbvVxkQU1IYJ8Suwt7fKPD80JLltFr2GtXCsya7UXfHXeknHclZMaUks1s/s320/Black+%2526+white+card.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553428591906761442" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">"Black & White"</span> card made for Crafty Frenz. Once I started tho, it only took about an hour to make. I cut out the top piece, put on the eyes, mouth etc, then pinned it to another piece of felt. Did running stitch around it, stuffed it with sheeps wool, then cut around it. Fun and easy - and now I have a pincushion for my worktable. Thanks SO much for sending it my way, Jo Anne, I am so honored that you thought of me!<br /><br />In accepting this award, I agree to:<br />1. Display the logo and link to the one who awarded it.<br />2. Nominate at least 7 blogs to receive the award.<br />3. Add links to those 7 blogs on your blog.<br />4. Leave the nominees a message that they had been nominated to receive the award.<br /><br />So for my part of the award commitment, I name the 7 blogs below who I feel deserve the award for various reasons. I want to encourage all my readers to follow the links and discover some cool blogs to visit that you might not have discovered yet!<br /><br />My 7 recipients are: stay tuned for this - I need to make a decision!<br />I know you will enjoy visiting these wonderful ladies and their blogs, so do it soon if not right away! In addition, I have quite a few really fun and interesting blogs on my blog links that you might want to check out as well!purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291368514590015870.post-48683504829665328352008-10-11T02:25:00.000-07:002008-10-11T02:29:25.653-07:00Blog Action DayOctober 15th is <span style="font-weight:bold;"><a href="http://blogactionday.org/">Blog Action Day</a></span> - click here for more info. This years theme is the subject of poverty.<br /><br />Poverty is not only a pressing issue, it is a complex one. It's easy to think that there isn’t much an individual can do. Fortunately this isn’t the case at all. With activities ranging from advocacy and professional contribution to charity and financing, there is in fact many ways that we can act.<br /><br />You can find a range of resources about poverty, about what the average person can do as well as dozens of post suggestions and ideas in the <span style="font-weight:bold;"><a href="http://site.blogactionday.org/resources">Blog Action Day Resources section</a></span>.purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291368514590015870.post-27093633787333684112008-09-06T12:12:00.000-07:002008-09-06T12:19:17.983-07:00Alice in Wonderland postcard<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm5c6vXQRG933-FcQiyrg4iLKU95Kvr1yFl7g0EUKx3ddeDf-NahurX0_hGcCljIADISYv_dtBDh2HlFOzg1T4t28NFRCzHXUOeKiEPgXZY2j53-Kp9zwt6KiL7lfOOxpaMhJSf8cCg-6a/s1600-h/Alice+2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm5c6vXQRG933-FcQiyrg4iLKU95Kvr1yFl7g0EUKx3ddeDf-NahurX0_hGcCljIADISYv_dtBDh2HlFOzg1T4t28NFRCzHXUOeKiEPgXZY2j53-Kp9zwt6KiL7lfOOxpaMhJSf8cCg-6a/s320/Alice+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5242988746412598434" border="0" /></a>Alice in Wonderland/Through the looking glass - what a fun theme! This is one of my favourite stories, and I so enjoyed making this postcard. I printed out the picture (black and white) onto card, and then coloured it with watercolour pencils - without the water. I was given this paper quite a while ago, and really didn't want to use it up - I'm not sure if I can get any more - but how can I justify buying MORE paper if I don't use what I already have!!purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291368514590015870.post-4042874667263742332008-02-16T01:20:00.000-08:002008-12-11T20:00:42.356-08:00Red and Gold fabric ATCs<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB2kjCzPFaerQWzhL4KrdBQIv9LFKkPDb9UmKBOiTmFUT8I7T5gmHisuEgedm8StJ6RBDiJmqkCLSeImi0Xh8PwGNuLmJFueLGgMEg3C_PMjdtVCS_5OXMGYEhuTRHad2yzRDOhrGgHlXZ/s1600-h/Red+%26+Gold+-+Lynette.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB2kjCzPFaerQWzhL4KrdBQIv9LFKkPDb9UmKBOiTmFUT8I7T5gmHisuEgedm8StJ6RBDiJmqkCLSeImi0Xh8PwGNuLmJFueLGgMEg3C_PMjdtVCS_5OXMGYEhuTRHad2yzRDOhrGgHlXZ/s400/Red+%26+Gold+-+Lynette.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167506071203013602" border="0" /></a>I made these for a combined swap with <a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NZFabATCs/"><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 102, 51);font-size:130%;" >NZ Fabs</span></a> and ATC-WDU - the theme was "Red and Gold" - what a fun colour combo!! I bought the Christmas fabric from Brenda's Craft Cupboard coz I couldn't resist it - and I have heaps left for making this years fabric ATCs - yayy!! Which I will get onto early, so I can send out some RAKs this Christmas. The ATCs that I received in this swap were amazing - if you want to have a look at everybody's cards check out my <a href="http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/purplemajic/Fabric%20ATCs%20received/RedGoldATCs-Amelia.jpg"><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 0, 0);font-size:130%;" >Photobucket</span></a> pics.purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291368514590015870.post-55839714489176850512008-02-16T01:07:00.001-08:002008-12-11T20:00:42.724-08:00Music, Number 9, and 1920's<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3-tw-4vaZPTohbiQ9AIsdP5Bdk0lufvy30NgVp3HWsLb25c27SHZfyZ8t7GQFSOqPLu3M1qzkR3Zw3nqWC0VZFJS9NSyFKKyJKgn4nE-yLe6YsiqnNkFFRHjigAu9N_o75Tfitcuw5VXn/s1600-h/Cards+r+Us+-+January+swap.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3-tw-4vaZPTohbiQ9AIsdP5Bdk0lufvy30NgVp3HWsLb25c27SHZfyZ8t7GQFSOqPLu3M1qzkR3Zw3nqWC0VZFJS9NSyFKKyJKgn4nE-yLe6YsiqnNkFFRHjigAu9N_o75Tfitcuw5VXn/s320/Cards+r+Us+-+January+swap.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167503356783682514" border="0" /></a>These are three ATCs that I made for a Cards R Us swap - the themes were "Music", "the Number 9" and "1920's" - and all 3 were sent to Carol J.<br /><br />The "Music" one was made with sheet music, and the violin is from a serviette. The "Number 9" is the rhinestones around her neck, and the "1920's" one is a copy of a 1920 Life magazine cover, with a bit of glitter and a few rhinestones.<br /><br />I enjoy these swaps - the atcs that I receive are always great - and I'm looking forward to next months themes.purplemajichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05069967938057180358noreply@blogger.com0
